For Sale: 1962 Chevrolet Corvette in Sunset Beach, North Carolina for sale in Sunset Beach, NC
Vehicle Description 1962 Corvette, Honduras Maroon paint, black interior, 340hp, 4- speed transmission, Positraction rear end, Hardtop, Wonderbar Radio, RPO 242 (CA car).
The car went through a body-off restoration 15 years ago which included the rebuilding of the engine, transmission, rear end, steering box, windshield wiper motor, front, and rear suspension systems, all chrome was replated, etc.
The block is non-original but a period correct 870 block dated B202 with the proper stampings on the pad.
Nothing on the car was untouched - it was either refurbished or replaced to ensure everything was in proper working order and appearance.
I do have some history on the car, the original sales document, documentation of the April 5, 1962 build date, many old serviceable parts, new parts, leftover paint, receipts, books, and manuals related to the car.
The pictures of the engine compartment do not have the ignition shielding installed but I have all new pieces for the car.
As previously mentioned, the car went through a body-off restoration 15
years ago and has only been driven 500
miles since.
While the car still looks very good there are some bolts, brackets, and clips that do not look quite as nice as when they were installed in the car.
Also, there is a small ding (see pic) on the cowl vent.
Additionally, the hardtop, which is in excellent condition and was repainted, does not have a rear plexiglass window.
The car is looking for a new owner that will appreciate and enjoy it as much as I previously did.
I appreciate your taking an interest in looking at the car.
Please contact me with any questions and/or additional photos that you may wish.
The car is located on the southern coast of North Carolina.
